Our first aid instructor is qualified AET (formally Level 4 PTTLS) Education and Training, a knowledge-based teaching qualification and has tutored many accredited and regulated first aid and medical classroom courses including Emergency First Aid At Work (EFAW), First Aid at Work (FAW), Paediatric First Aid, First Person on Scene (FPoS), Administration of Penthrox, Canine First Aid, as well as a huge amount of bespoke courses including; Assisting The Paramedic, Catastrophic Bleed Management, Introduction to the range of tourniquets, Autoinjectors in Schools, First Aid in Schools, Emergency assessment and treatment at a search and rescue scene.
Plus, a growing list of online courses such as Understanding Medical Gases, Medication Administration, Enhanced Community First Responder, Emergency Trauma First Aid. First on Scene, First Responder at a Terror Attack.
As well as dedicating a decade as a Community First Responder, responding to life-threatening 999 calls he also spent many years as a Team Leader Search Technician and Search & Rescue Medic for a Lowland Search and Rescue Unit, being called out only by police to assist them in the search for missing vulnerable persons.
As a keen and competitive, licenced and certificated shooter, Peter not only entered competitions but provided event medical services.
He operates a small first aid service for events and founder member of AoFAS – the Association of First Aid Services – www.AoFAS.org.uk
